As the CTSBDC Fiscal Manager, Alicia Demers is responsible for our finances and funding. She helps to manage budgets and direct funds towards CTSBDC workshops and events, as well as day-to-day counseling and use of software tools. Thanks to Alicia’s expert management of finances, we can offer our clients professional business advising at no cost.
Alicia has had 10 years of experience working for a small business restaurant, so she knows firsthand how important small business is to the State of Connecticut. She believes that helping small businesses grow is imperative to growing the economy, and through the services of the CTSBDC, we can accomplish just that. Alicia graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, and a minor in Business Information Systems. Alicia is currently a candidate for her MBA in Finance at the University of Connecticut.
Alicia manages finances and supports our staff and advisors from the CTSBDC Lead Office, located at the University of Connecticut, Storrs.
As someone who believes greatly in the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, Alicia loves CrossFit.
