SBA Reopens Disaster Loans Application Filing for Hurricane Sandy

The U.S. Small Business Administration is reopening the application process for disaster loans for small businesses and eligible private non-profit organizations in Connecticut that had physical damages caused by Hurricane Sandy during Fall of 2012. The exact dates are Oct. 27, 2012 to Nov. 8, 2012.

Primary counties that were adversely affected by the disaster are:

  • Fairfield
  • Middlesex
  • New Haven
  • New London

Contiguous Counties are:

  • Hartford
  • Litchfield
  • Tolland
  • Windham

Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.

Disaster loan information and application forms may also be obtained by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955, or (800) 877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, or by sending an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.  Applications can also be downloaded from the SBA’s website at www.sba.gov/disaster. Completed applications should be mailed to:

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage and/or economic injury is December 1, 2016.
