PrintabiliTees LLC, Stamford, CT
9 Years in Business
Bags and badges, awards, golfing accessories, caps and hats, apparel and more—PrintabiliTees LLC provides screen printing, embroidery, large format document printing and promotional products for hundreds of items. Currently the company outsources more than 95 percent of all its products, and Jeré C. Eaton, owner and founder of PrintabiliTees LLC, started the company in her Stamford, CT area home nine years ago. She has 27 years of consumer marketing and sales experience, and is ready to expand.
Jeré’s vision? By January 1, 2015 PrintabiliTees will operate out of its own commercial space and produce its own custom-branded screen printing, embroidery and signage.
The benefits? Jeré anticipates a boost in sales and profit margins, hiring her first two employees—local Stamford residents living in Hub Zones—increased cost control as well as closer ties with residential and business communities.
Jeré first connected with the Connecticut Small Business Development Center (CTSBDC) in December 2013 for help forging a strong business plan that would communicate PrintabiliTees’ current and desired state, and justify the company’s readiness for a loan and line of credit.
Her business plan was completed in just three months and her CTSBDC business advisor, Jenefeness Houston, was a perfect match. Her vast accounting knowledge gave Jeré confidence and made the process much easier. Jenefeness also guided PrintabiliTees through the SBA’s 8(a) program, and introduced her to Fairfield County Business Council, the Department of Economic and Community Development’s (DECD) grant and low interest loan opportunities, the Workplace’s Step Up program for assistance with employee training and wages, and more.
“In my 9+ years as a business owner I’ve received business assistance from state organizations like SCORE, PTAP, WBENC, DOT DBE Program, NMSDC and WBDC. While these programs are great, I’ve gained the most success with CTSBDC.”
“Jenefeness and CTSBDC best help me access resource organizations, plus pinpoint and prioritize the programs that will support my growth plan. PrintabiliTees is not just another government reporting statistic for CTSBDC—they focus on my needs and help me achieve my goals.”
Now in the final stages of her SBA 8(a) approval, Jeré will continue working with Jenefeness to prepare her company for a successful business loan and line of credit applications process.
“The most wonderful part of my work is supporting business owners’ ability to hire employees and impact the lives of others. Their action creates an amazing domino effect that improves and stimulates our economy, and makes life better for those in their community.”
