Ewelina “Evie” Bak has a passion for the beauty industry and a love for people. In December 2017, she launched her dream business Revive Skincare and Spa in Unionville. With less than 6 months under her belt, she’s already seeing great traction (just take a look at her Facebook reviews)!
Revive Skincare and Spa is a full-service skincare day spa. It offers eyebrow shaping and tinting for both men and women, body massages, waxing, make-up services, and sells skincare products.
Evie, owner and lead esthetician at REVIVE Skincare and Spa, is not a newcomer to the spa industry. Her training quite literally spans the globe. Evie was professionally trained in Poland and England. She then spent time working on cruise ships traveling to exotic beaches, shaping eyebrows along the way. During these travels, she collected over ten years of experience. Eventually, she settled in Connecticut and hasn’t left since.
With all of her experience, Evie realized it was time to take the leap and be her own boss. She wanted to provide luxurious spa services in her own way, and in 2017, she opened REVIVE Skincare and Spa.
Inspired by all things beautiful and fueled by positive human interaction, Evie created a gorgeous retreat fully equipped with geodes, healings stones, warm beds and peaceful music. Evie wants to make a positive impact in the world (at least her corner of it) by helping people take more time for themselves. This is why she created a calming, welcoming environment for people to unwind and be pampered. She also uses fair pricing so spa services usually considered a luxury could be more accessible.
November 2017 is when Evie started working toward her own American Dream. “I reached out to the Connecticut Small Business Development Center for support as I was trying to launch my business. Mary Kay helped me navigate the Federal and state requirements, understand my tax obligations and assisted with filings, set up an excel system to track sales (based on my accountant’s recommendation), obtain insurance, and more. We work well together,” explains Evie.Go Back
